Envelope Control Overview
Kar-Tech's Envelope systems are a microprocessor-based control solution that continually monitors the dynamic load at the end of a boom, and restricts boom functions when necessary to ensure continual operation only within a safe operating range as specified by the OEM. Personal injury, equipment damage, and lawsuits are easily mitigated with the installation of such a system, especially when combined with Kar-Tech's date-stamping datalogger option. The system can be configured for audible and visual alerts, and/or shutdown of certain directions of travel, forcing the operator into a safe operating envelope.

Basic Technical Info:
Our envelope control systems operate on either 12v or 24v systems, and only require a few sensor inputs to be fully-functional. The enclosure is sealed to IP-67, the electronics are silicon dip coated, and the whole package can be further epoxy-potted.
